David Fenwick, Owner
His mother went into labor with him on a Saturday, which was the busiest day in a retailer’s week. So his father did what any small town shop keeper would do, he dropped off his mother at the hospital and told her he would be back after closing the store. Retail, especially shoes, is in his blood, as well as a sense of fashion and a knowing deep inside of what would sell and what will not.
Also, David knows children! Besides presiding over Sandy’s for decades, David and his wife Abby have the joy of raising 6 children ranging in ages from 3 to 25. Yep, that is no typo. There is 21 years between the first and last (really!) child. Five daughters, (yes dads, five times the fun), with the eldest, Meagan, engaged to marry in 2011. So grandchildren can’t be too far behind.
